Time for another challenge?

As the final stretch of the Basic placement approaches your student is likely feeling more comfortable. Providing a challenge or encouraging some risk taking in a new area may be just what the placement experience needs.  At this point you are in a good to position to know what might work.
Choose an activity the student has had exposure to or experience with and push it up a notch.
Ø  Has the student had opportunity to meet or work with a client alone?
Ø   What about having them follow up with a team or family member regarding a client?
Ø   Is the student ready to advance their skills with documentation? Have they tried writing SMART goals for a client? They know what SMART stands for.
Don't hesitate to share any ideas you have to keep students fully engaged in the learning.
